I always assumed I would be the sort of person that could live in any stinky old studio with broken down furniture and moldy walls, and that the only thing that would matter would be to have a place of my own to lay my head. Turns out, I’m not!

As I grow up, get a little older every year, I find myself somehow wanting and craving many material things which I never thought I would.

The only problem is I can’t afford anything that I want! All the design stores I like are way way over my budget. The other sad option is driving out to IKEA and trying to find an inserting piece of furniture that is cheap on one hand yet not boring on the other; chances are I will see the same piece in all of my friends’ apartments.

So this year I decided to save up for one special purchase, and I feel this weekend is the right time for spending; and I know just where to do it.

My favorite furniture & accessories store is called Elemento. It’s owned by a very cool designer named Yossi Goldberg, who learned and trained in Milan and has a very unique and hip eye for design.

During the last few years the store was located in a small apartment on Ahed Ha’am St., which was too crowded, stuffy and did not do justice with the wonderful look and style of the products.

But Good news! last month Elemento moved into it’s new spacious venue on the famous Rothschild Boulevard. The new space is beautifully and elegantly designed, the whole atmosphere is very young and fun. Bold and crazy colors fill the room and give you an absolute optimistic feel when you enter. From experience I can tell you that any thing you buy here will be a good investment - it’s all top quality, the kind of stuff that will stay with you for years.

This Saturday Elemento is having its grand opening event in a very Tel Avivian fashion. Starting up from around noon, champagne and appetizers all over the place, it will be the perfect place to do some early Passover shopping or just some schmoozing and noshing with Tlv’s design leaders.
