Once again I’m favoring the better sex, and this next post is about as girly as girly gets! But what can I do, first of all it’s just a fact that there more exciting attractions out there for girls, secondly, when it comes to fashion and especially Israeli fashion, we are talking female zone. And last but least, thank god - I’m a girl, always been a girl and will always be!

For the 26th time (every year in the winter and in the summer) Tel Aviv is proud to present the official City Designer Market, with 140 Israeli clothing designers featuring shoes, accessories, clothing from casual street wear to fancy fancy evening gown, hand bags, hats, jewelry and basically anything you consider fashion, all made in Israel!

The designers which are presenting in the market have been chosen carefully by the organizers of the event and they are supposed to help project the right energy: young, urban and exciting. One of the main goals is to give a platform for young designers, a chance to show their design and maybe even be discovered! As a loyal fan of this market (I think I went to 13-14 of the events) I can give you a historical look at the event, and there are many designers which where first discovered here and become a big hit in Tlv fashion such as Anna K, Karin A, Shine, Anat Manos, Mal, Ruby Star and many many more young talents….

Other than all this fun filled fashion, the event will include some Tlv’s leading D.J’s on site, lots and lots of alcohol, and many other surprises… The best part of the market is that the prices are actually very low, I mean it’s all relative, and designer clothing is never really cheap, but still we are talking between 30-70% off, and this can allow us common girls to get some real shopping done.

Despite my grand introduction about this being a women only event, this year there are a few (5 to be accurate) representatives of men’s apparel, so maybe you boys will be doing more than just holding your girlfriend’s purse while she’s trying everything on….
